naanu ladies

Naanu ladies is a south Indian feature film made with only a budget of 20 lakhs INR, shot by women technicians.
The film is an experiment to understand cost effective film production methods simultaneously broadening employment opportunities for women, independent film enthusiasts and artists from various fields.
The film was initially written in 2017 inspired by the scientific theories of evolutionary Biology from the book "The selfish gene" by Richard Dawkins. Naanu ladies is now in its Post production to be released end of 2020.
Awards :
Naanu Ladies won the best queer film at the Tasveer south Asian Film Festival 2021. It won the best Narrative feature at the kashish International Queer film festival 2022 , Mumbai
